Nimble Streamer has a number of very interesting updates.

It's is now available for Debian 8 so you can try it any time.

MPEG2-TS transmuxing has been completely reworked and it now it allows accepting UDP and HTTP MPEG-TS and produce HLS, MPEG-DASH, RTMP, Icecast and also re-stream it as MPEG-TS itself. Read this article for details and see what else we have for MPEG-TS.

Peer-to-peer streaming has been a hot topic for some time already. Nimble Streamer can be used as an origin for P2P system. This page https://wmspanel.com/nimble/p2p_streaming shows what we can do for this kind of streaming and provides demos of our P2P partner solutions.

Sometimes Nimble Streamer instance cannot reach WMSPanel to send some stats due to network issues. Now it may store the data and then send it to the service when it's available. Read this article to see how data disaster recovery is done.

RTSP transmuxing feature set has been recently introduced and now we've added API for RTSP control. The WMSPanel API helps controlling this and other functionality easily.

Speaking of existing functionality, check CDN-friendly streaming digest article which describes how to use aliases and HTTP origin features to provide streams suitable for CDN usage.

The last but not the least, Dispersa monitoring now allows edit multiple streams and control their behavior via text edit.
