Happy New Year!
Past year of 2014 was full of new features and enhancements for all of our products:
December of 2014 has also been a great month for Nimble Streamer and WMSPanel.
The State of Streaming Protocols for past month shows huge growth of connections of our customers.
The biggest improvement for Nimble Streamer was adding MPEG-DASH streaming capabilities:
So now our customers may use MPEG-DASH along with HLS for their streaming scenarios.
A couple of security-related features were added as well:
Nimble Streamer status API was updated with CPU and RAM metrics which makes it avaialble for building decent load balancing solutions.
Highly-anticipated update for geo-location statistics was done. Having geo/ISP stats enabled, our customers can now see regions within countries of visitors, e.g. states of USA.

- WMSPanel improved significantly to support 3 new server types - Flussonic, Red5 and nginx-rtmp-module. Also, new feature sets were added - In-depth statistics and service API to name just a few.
- Nimble Streamer got a full set of HLS and MPEG-DASH reporting capabilities and became a mature solution for building streaming infrastructures of any size, getting thousands of installations during past 12 months.
- Dispersa monitoring service, came to life this year by getting all of its existing features, now tracking thousands of streams simultaneously.

Nimble Streamer
The biggest improvement for Nimble Streamer was adding MPEG-DASH streaming capabilities:
- VOD streaming by transmuxing MP4 files into MPEG-DASH.
- Live streaming by RTMP to MPEG-DASH transmuxing.
- Security via enabling pay-per-view and hotlinking protection for MPEG-DASH.
So now our customers may use MPEG-DASH along with HLS for their streaming scenarios.
A couple of security-related features were added as well:
- Nimble now supports SSL for streaming DASH, HLS, Icecast, MPEG-TS and progressive download.
- Cross-domain policy files and access control headers can be controlled via Nimble configs.
